Trains and buses

Selly Oak is well connected to the City Centre and wider Birmingham through an extensive bus network and the Lichfield to Redditch train-line.

Trains:

Selly Oak Train station, which is accessible from the Bristol Road and Heeley Road.  Trains run at regular intervals throughout the day and evening to and from the City Centre.  For train times, download the London Midland App or find a local timetable here. Check the local and national travel map

Buses:

There are a number of buses connecting Selly Oak to the City Centre and Birmingham.  The X61, X64 and 63 routes run along Bristol Road directly to the City Centre and a number of other routes, such as 11 and 38, for example connect to surrounding areas.  Bus timetables for Selly Oak can be found at Network West Midlands (Selly Oak) or download the App Midlands App.

Crime & Anti-Social Behaviour on buses and trains:

Any person experiencing anti social-behaviour or criminality on board buses or trains can report if to the Safer Travel Partnership.  One of the ways to report concerns is by the See Something Say Something campaign.  Through this a text can be sent to 83010 containing the word “bus” or “rail” with details about the time, date, location and route number,
