Webchat success and thanks – over 600 people follow live Selly Oak Constituency webchat with Inspector Simon Inglis

Thanks to everyone who followed and supported the hyperlocal web chat with Selly Oak constituency inspector Simon Inglis yesterday evening.  The webchat, a first for Selly Oak, was really useful with more than 600 people viewing it live.  There were a further 250 have viewed it on replay despite and it was also featured on the BBC Local website and can be found online on our website.

It was fantastic to have a record number of live views (even more than our forcewide Counter Terrorism web chat!) and it was even more fantastic to see that almost all of the 50 questions asked were from local people.

The web chat will remain archived so that people who weren’t able to view it live can still see what was said.  We are extremely keen to build links with all our hyper local bloggers and websites as you guys really are at the heart of the community. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

The web chat should now be archived and to view the replay/transcript just click here.
